shirt
from the school
before the first
day of classes.
SBH is a public
charter school of choice. Charter schools are publicly
funded elementary or secondary schools that have been
freed from some of the rules and regulations that apply
to other public schools. This freedom is in exchange
for an increased accountability in producing certain
results.
Yes. Parents of SBH students may
elect to have their children ride the school bus to and from school. Each SBH
student must maintain a current address on file at the school to ensure their
placement on the proper bus. Any bus changes must be pre-approved by the
transportation coordinator, Ms. Winstead and a Change
of Address form must be completed.
Yes. Our
school participates in the Federal School Lunch Program.
All parents must fill out an application for free or
reduced lunch upon enrolling in school. After the application
has been processed parents will be notified of their
child’s lunch status for that school year.
Yes. Every student
at SBH is required to be in uniform each day. The uniform
for all Kindergarten through fifth grade students is
as follows: an official
SBHSchool
shirt and plain navy blue bottoms
Students
in grades sixth through eighth must also wear the official
SBHSchool
shirt but are allowed a choice of plain navy blue or
khaki bottoms. If a student wears any bottoms that have
belt loops they are required to have a black or brown
belt on. Shoes may not have black soles and no gang
