Character Education was introduced to the Sallie B. Howard School middle school program in 2010 in order to introduce, and sustain, a model of behavior undergirding the school’s core moral standard.  This standard includes teaching the children perseverance, respect, integrity, discipline and excellence in all areas of their lives.  Since its inception the program has now expanded into the 4th and 5th grade curriculum’s and is challenging the students, not only in the school, but in their homes and respective communities as well.
