In November 2004, Sallie B Howard School took nine students and four chaperones on a Study Abroad Trip to India. The students that were selected to go on this trip produced the best research papers on the effect of ancient civilizations on modern day India. While in India students visited the Taj Mahal, the Qutub Minar, the Delhi Fort which is also known as the Red Fort, the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri, India Gate, the Lotus Temple and various other historic sites.Students also enjoyed the opportunity to interact with Indian students at Pinegrove School. At Pinegrove SBH student ambassadors participated in the daily routines of their Indian counterparts including morning exercises and attending classes. In India SBH students were fully immersed in a new culture.From attending school at Pinegrove to visiting the Taj Mahal the experiences gained on this trip will forever enhance the global perspectives of all the participants!
